China allowed the export of wheat and barley from all Russian regions in late February of this year. This commodity was previously only available by road or rail from a few places (Altai and Krasnoyarsk Krai, Chelyabinsk, Omsk, Novosibirsk, Amur, and Kurgan Regions). The import of barley was entirely prohibited. In addition to the ability to import wheat and barley, grain shipments from Black Sea ports are now possible.
Another important product that China will purchase is sunflower oil, which is now in great demand.
