Soybeans have become one of the most attractive crops for plant growers in Russia in recent years.
Over ten years, the acreage under soybeans has grown 2.3 times: from 1.5 mln ha to 3.5 mln ha. This growth is due to the high demand for soybeans and their processed products on the world market, as well as government support provided to farmers.
The Ministry of Agriculture of Russia plans to further increase soybean production and predicts the achievement of 7-8 MT in the coming years. This will allow the country to achieve full self-sufficiency in soybeans and create significant export potential.
The Government of the Russian Federation has allocated 1.86 bln RUB to stimulate the production of oilseeds, including soybeans. This demonstrates the importance and support of this sector of agriculture.
